The screen resolution of a monitor determines how much information can be displayed on the screen. The resolution is measured horizontally and vertically in pixels. All our monitors support a minimum resolution of 640 x 480 and a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 at both 50 and 60hz. In addition, both interlaced and progressive signals are supported. The input resolution you can use varies from monitor to monitor, and depends on the video card, monitor size, and video driver.
The supported resolutions are the input resolutions that the monitor can display. The input resolution is therefore not always the resolution of the actual image displayed on the monitor, this is the native resolution.
If the monitor receives an input signal with a resolution other than the native resolution, the monitor will scale the actual displayed image to the native resolution. A monitor provides the best picture quality when its native resolution is equal to the input resolution from the source. A non-native resolution can lead to an unclear or distorted image.
